how do i know what session to choose?
think about two things:
1. how much time do you have to dedicate to a session
2. what you want to get out of it
need focused audition prep? want a scene study deep dive? or just a relaxed space to stay sharp? all are valid. once you know your goal, book the session that feels right, and i’ll tailor it to your needs. (note: i’m based in the eastern time zone - atlanta, georgia, u.s.a. — keep that in mind when scheduling)
how do i book a session?
1. submit the form
start by filling out the coaching request form with your preferred date, time, and package
2. confirm availability
i’ll review your request and respond within 24 hours to confirm my availability or suggest an alternate time
3. secure your spot
to lock in your session, payment must be made in full via venmo, cashapp, paypal, or zelle. once payment is received, your session will be added to my calendar
who can sign up for a session?
anyone! whether you’re a beginner exploring acting for the first time, a seasoned performer sharpening your craft, or someone returning after a break. i also work with anyone who wants to use acting to build social confidence and communication skills. spanish speaking actors or anyone preparing bilingual material are also welcome. just let me know where you are in your journey so i can tailor the session to your needs
what’s your training/ approach to sessions?
i’ve worked across classical and musical theatre, film, television, commercials, corporate/industrial work, print modeling, and animated voiceover. my training includes meisner technique, stanislavski, viewpoints, and text analysis. i hold a b.a. in theatre and teaching artist certifications, with years of experience coaching actors of all levels. above all, i value honesty and vulnerability — they’re at the heart of my approach and the key to all authentic performances
how do i pay for a session?
all sessions must be paid in full to confirm your booking. i accept venmo (@ulisesdavidacosta), cashapp ($ulisesdavidacosta), paypal, and zelle. once payment is received, your session is locked into my calendar
what’s your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
sessions can be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice for a full refund or to choose a new time. late cancellations are non-refundable. if something urgent comes up, please reach out — i’ll always do my best to accommodate
do you offer coaching in spanish?
claro que si. i’m fluent in spanish (native puerto rican accent) and often work with actors who need to prepare bilingual auditions, spanish-language roles, or simply want to practice performing in spanish. whether it’s running lines, scene study, or accent support, i can adjust sessions to meet your needs
what if i need something outside of your listed services?
reach out! whether it’s ongoing mentorship, creative collaboration, or something custom (like hosting a group workshop), i’m open to finding ways to support your growth
do you offer online or in-person coaching?
right now, all sessions are held online via weaudition, google meet, or zoom for convenience and flexibility. if you’re in the atlanta, georgia area and want to explore in-person coaching, feel free to reach out and we’ll see if we can make it happen
do you work with kids or teens?
yes — i’ve taught and coached actors of all ages, from children just starting out, to adult professionals with years of experience. if booking for someone under 18, a parent or guardian will need to be present at the beginning of the first session
what materials should i bring to a session?
for audition prep or scene study, bring your sides, script, or song. for career-focused sessions, bring your current headshot, resume, reel, or anything else you’d like feedback on. if you’re brand new, just bring yourself — we’ll start where you are
do you offer package deals or discounts?
yes — along with individual sessions, i offer package options like the audition prep package and the monthly coaching package at a lower per-session rate
what if i’m not an actor — can i still book?
absolutely! some people book sessions to build social confidence, practice communication skills, or simply explore creativity through acting. no prior experience required
do you guarantee results?
i can’t guarantee bookings (no coach can), but i do guarantee you’ll walk away with new tools, clear feedback, and actionable steps to strengthen your work and confidence
can I record my session?
absolutely — as long as it’s for your personal use. many actors find it helpful to rewatch coaching notes or review their growth over time
why do you do this?
i’ve been acting professionally since i was a kid, and collaboration has always been my favorite part of the work. over the years, especially as a teaching artist, i’ve found real joy in helping other actors feel confident, prepared, and connected to their craft. coaching is my way of giving that back
